We are delighted that the British Canoe Association accredited team from Dee River Kayaking are returning this summer to offer Stand Up Paddleboarding and Kayaking sessions on the beautiful Deer Park Mere.
Sessions are one hour long to include a full safety briefing and all equipment.
The Deer Park Mere is not tidal, so this is the perfect way to enjoy the water whatever your level of skill with the stunning backdrop of the festival and Cholmondeley Castle.
We recommend this activity for ages 10+. Minimum age is 8. Under 8 and 9 year olds will need to paddle in a tandem kayak with an adult.
10-18 year olds may take to the water in a single vessel, but a responsible adult needs to remain available and nearby during the session.
Prices are per person. Paddleboards are for single use. The majority of kayaks are single use, but there are a small number of tandems available on request for each session < contact Dee River Kayaking to book >
We cannot allow dogs on the vessels and we do not allow you to bring your own vessel or swim in the water.
Participation is at the instructor's discretion. Should you be intoxicated or behave in a fashion which endangers the instructors or participants you will be asked to leave the session with no refund.
This activity is accessible to all festival attendees.
Remember to bring a towel or robe! There are no changing facilities at the jetty.
Access to the water sports jetty is to the left hand side immediately on entering the festival. This is near to the Sailors Rest (note if you attended in 2024 or 2023 the Heart and Soul stage was in this location).
This will sell out and is available at and Early Bird price of £22.50. We strongly advise booking early to get the slot that you want!
