CAMPING HELP
How does camping work at Deva Fest?
If you are new to festivals it can be pretty confusing choosing the right tickets.
The simple thing to remember is that you need to book a camping pitch to stay on OR a glamping or pre-pitched tent to stay in AND tickets for everyone in your party for that campsite.
For example if a family of four wanted to stay in their own tent in the Polo Fields for example they would need a Family bundle (2 x adults and 2 x 5-17 years included) AND a tent pitch on the Polo Fields campsite box office page.
If you have camping tickets booked for the festival as well as a pitch to stay on or a glamping or pre-pitched tent to stay in you have all you need and admission to the festival is included.
The only other thing you might want to add is the Thursday night camping party supplement which allows you to arrive a day earlier than the standard Friday arrival.
We class Caravans, Campervans and RVs as Live-in Vehicles.
If you follow the instructions on the box office page you should be guided to making the right choices
Why aren't Camping Pitches Included in the Ticket Price?
We do it this way so we know exactly how many tents and live-in vehicles are going to be on each campsite for everyone’s comfort and safety.
If we didn’t ask people to reserve a pitch we wouldn’t know how many tents and live in vehicles to expect - it is an extreme example, but if someone booked a party of eight people we would have no way of knowing if they intended to share one tent or bring eight of them along.
Once upon a time we included a pitch with every booking - someone resold their tickets (8 x adults) to four couples and we ended up with four caravans arriving when our systems were only saving space for one. This leads to overcrowding.
How much Space do I get? Can I book Electric?
Pitches are 8m x 8m for Tents and Live in Vehicles in the Deer Park (sold out), Longhorn Meadow, Alan Fields, Polo Field and Accessible campsites.
You may have an awning, porch or other camping equipment on your pitch subject to not taking up space outside of your pitch.
You may park on your pitch with your tent or caravan. If you want to bring a second vehicle or your car won't fit you need to book an Additional Car Parking space - the additional car park is in the centre of the campsites.
If you are going to take up more space book a second pitch.
The only remaining campsite where Electric Hook Ups (EHU) are available to book is Longhorn Meadow.
EHU come as standard for the glamping tents of Camp Deva, but are an optional upgrade everywhere else in the festival.
Booking Camp Deva Glamping or Pre-Pitched Tents
Camp Deva Glamping or booking a pre-pitched tent works much like the "bring your own" campsites. Start by choosing your glamping or pre-pitched tent to stay in and then select the people in your party.
If you have a glamping or pre-pitched tent booked and not "people" tickets or vice versa your booking is not valid.
Having Camp Deva Glamping tickets for the people in your party plus a glamping tent or pre-pitched tent and Longhorn Meadows tickets booked gives you festival admission.
Why do you need both Glamping Tickets and a Glamping Tent to stay in Camp Deva?
Two things need to happen for Camp Deva be offered at the festival - 1) a company needs to bring glamping tents to site, set them up, maintain them, put someone on reception and take them down when the event is over and 2) the festival is put on by the team from Deva Fest.
That's why in Camp Deva you need to pay for camping tickets for everyone in your party (that's to attend the festival) and for a glamping tent to stay in (that's to pay the company who brings the glamping tents to site).
Why do you need both Longhorn Meadow Tickets and a Pre-Pitched Tent booking to stay in a Pre-Pitched Tent?
Two things need to happen for Pre-Pitched tents be offered at the festival - 1) a company needs to bring the tents to site, set them up and take them down when the event is over and 2) the festival is put on by the team from Deva Fest.
That's why in Pre-Pitched Camping you need to pay for camping tickets for everyone in your party (that's to attend the festival) and for a pre-pitched tent to stay in (that's to pay the company who brings the tents to site).
If you have made an Error.....
Don't worry! Our box office takes you through a series of questions and presents your tickets at the end, so it's pretty hard to book the wrong package, but if you have any questions please < get in touch straight away > so that we can help and amend your booking if needs be.
We also check the bookings daily to make sure people have checked out correctly and email as soon as we see an issue. Please don't ignore the email - if you don't have the right booking it means we aren't saving space for you and your booking may need to be cancelled.
I Need to Add to my Party. How do I do this?
This is the only time you will ever check out without adding a pitch or glamping tent to a booking (unless adding these people in means you need more space).
If you are paying in instalments < contact us > and we can amend your booking for you and adjust your payments.
If you have paid outright head back to the campsite you are booked into and (as long as you don't need another pitch or glamping tent) you can skip that page and just buy for the people in your party. Please use the same email address as the original booking.
An example!
This is a how a booking should look for 2 x adults and 2 x 5-17 year-old children with Thursday night camper party add-ons staying in a live-in vehicle
This is example is for the Polo Field.
Always remember you need a pitch/glamping tent/pre-pitched tent to stay on/in and tell us how many guests are attending.
That's all you need! Nothing else!
